Verification

Capacity. Compliance. Delivery.

Three separate assessments, because a supplier can be strong on one and weak on another - and you should be able to see which.

Verification matters more here than in domestic trade because Musika may introduce two companies in different countries that have never dealt with each other. We assess three things, keep them apart, and update them as orders are completed.

The Three Assessments

Capacity - the plant, the stock on the floor and the meter reading it

Capacity

Can this supplier actually provide the quantity, to the specification, in the lead time? Depending on the product and the size of the transaction we may look at stock records, warehouse information, historical invoices, production information, supplier contracts or previous fulfilment.

Compliance - registration and tax papers checked against the shield

Compliance

Do the supplier and the consignment satisfy the legal and documentary requirements for this category? Company registration, tax information, export permits, health or veterinary documentation, phytosanitary certificates, product certifications and certificates of origin, as the goods require.

Delivery - what actually arrived, against the date it was promised

Delivery

What has this supplier actually done on Musika? Completed orders, on-time delivery, quantity variance, rejected goods, disputes and cancellations. Documentary claims count for less as real order history accumulates.

Three Different Things, Often Confused

A code sent to an address and typed back in - the address is confirmed, nothing more

A Confirmed Email Address

The one-time code proves that a reachable person controls the address that was used. That is all it proves. It says nothing about the company, and nothing about whether the person has authority to commit it to anything.

A company checked at its own address, on its own papers

A Verified Company

A separate assessment, done by a person against documents and order history. Basic corporate verification is scoped to the categories a supplier actually operates in - a legitimately registered business can still lack what agricultural, medical or hazardous goods require.

A transaction carrying its own compliant record, stage by stage

A Compliant Transaction

A third layer, decided per consignment. Value, goods, route and financial path each change what evidence is needed. Company registration alone never establishes that a particular load may lawfully move.

The Status Ladder

On the register, nothing assessed yet. Usable for sourcing, but the transaction carries the risk accordingly.

Papers received and under review. Not yet a statement about the company.

Corporate and compliance information checked for the categories the supplier operates in.

Basic verification plus completed Musika orders with satisfactory delivery performance behind it.

Where compliance or performance concerns arise. A status can move down as well as up.

The status ladder, climbing from unverified to trade verified

A Working Risk Record, Not a Permanent Mark.

A verification badge that is issued once and never revisited is a marketing device. Musika treats verification as an evolving record that changes with what the supplier does.

Every verification decision is recorded with the officer who made it, the date, the type of evidence relied on, when that evidence expires, the categories the decision covers, any adverse finding, and every subsequent change of status. A status without that behind it is an opinion, not a record.

Certificates expire. Capacity changes with the season and the order book. Delivery performance is only knowable after delivery. The record is kept current, and it feeds supplier matching and risk assessment rather than sitting on a profile page.

Where a transaction involves payment, foreign exchange or financing, the customer and business checks required by our settlement partner and the authorised financial institutions involved are carried out under their rules. Musika passes the commercial context to that layer; it does not duplicate or substitute for regulated compliance.
