Compliance

Compliant on Both Sides Of the Border.

Goods only cross when the paperwork on both sides is right. Buyers and suppliers can both get assistance to make sure they are compliant, through Moeletsi Africa.

A compliance desk at the border: permits and certificates checked off a list, a shield of approval, a customs boom and a cleared truck moving through
1

Why Compliance Sits on Every Order

A cross-border load stops at the first document that is missing or wrong. Compliance is not a separate exercise on Musika - it is part of the order, checked before goods move rather than after they are held at the border.

2

What a Buyer Needs

Registration as a Musika buyer for a buyer in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia or Zimbabwe, company and tax registration in the country of import, the import permits and registrations that regulated goods require - medical supplies, chemicals, food and livestock among them - and the customs registration the clearing agent will ask for.

3

What a Supplier Needs

Verification as a Musika supplier in South Africa, company registration and tax clearance, the export documentation for the goods, certificates of origin where a trade agreement applies, and the product certificates, test reports or registrations the buyer's market requires.

4

Assistance for Both Sides

Buyers and suppliers can both get assistance to make sure they are compliant. That assistance is provided through Moeletsi Africa, the network of compliance experts and compliance companies that Musika works with, covering registrations, permits, certification and the documents a transaction needs.

5

How to Ask for It

Go to Moeletsi Africa directly, or say in the notes of your post, your supply record or your quote request that you need compliance assistance. The trade desk puts you in touch with the right expert on the Moeletsi Africa network for your goods and your side of the border.

6

What the Desk Checks

Verification on Musika assesses capacity, compliance and delivery separately. The desk checks that the documents a transaction needs are in place and holds them against the order, and it flags an order that needs a permit or certificate before it is quoted.

7

Regulated Goods

Medical supplies, chemicals, food, agricultural produce and livestock carry their own permits and certificates on each side of the border. The desk will not move regulated goods without them, and Moeletsi Africa can help either side obtain what is missing.

8

Your Part Under the Charter

The Marketplace Charter asks each party to keep its own side of the transaction compliant. Signing it is also where you can say that you want assistance, so the desk can bring Moeletsi Africa in from the start.
